Humming
What shape does the soundscape from the train have? What feeling does the structure of a yarn communicate? Which colour would you use to visually describe a caress?
Recent years my embroidery has been transforming from representational to abstract. My most recent works are visual associations, shapes, lines and colours that often resemble a landscape or a sensitive impression but also hold fragments of pattern and reference to woven structure.
I have previously collaborated in joint exhibitions at HOP both in 2013 and 2019. This time I’ll return to the beautiful gallery space on my own.
